Welcome to the Serco, Volkswagen Group UK and Volkswagen Financial Services UK combined Graduate Development Programme. As organisations, we work in close partnership across all areas of our business - and that includes the personal and professional development of our people.

Our exciting scheme offers you experience across the Financial, Automotive and Service Sectors. You'll have the chance to drive your career in the direction of your individual strengths and - at the end of the programme, we expect you to move into your first management position within one of our organisations.

How it works.

The programme runs over 24 months from September 2012. In addition to gaining a unique blend of hands-on business experience across three global organisations, you will benefit from carefully planned development and support.

While you will be employed by Serco, you will be closely aligned to Volkswagen Group and Volkwagen Financial Services throughout the programme. Specifically, you will enjoy four 6-month placements including:

  • Volkswagen Group
    A placement within one of the five brands and focusing on one of our key disciplines (Marketing, Aftersales or Operations). You will emerge with a good understanding of the sales and marketing of vehicles in the UK and the associated retail networks.
  • Volkswagen Financial Services
    A placement within one of our core teams will allow you to develop your insight into one of the largest and most sophisticated financial operations of its kind.
  • Serco
    This placement outside Volkswagen with one of Serco's major contracts will give you first-class experience in contract and commercial management.

As you might expect, your practical engagement with our business operations will be supported by a variety of Training and Development initiatives offered by all three organisations. This will include Management Development training and a range of e-learning resources. And, just for good measure, you'll have the guidance of your own Mentor and will also be supported in defining and planning your longer-term career path.
